PostAnt-Topia on 1/26/2017, 12:02 pm

Hello all I have recently learned of this forum and wish to inform anyone who is keeping ants as pets that I offer a wide variety of goods.  From varying levels of printed to acrylic setups, to basic supplies.  I have recently launched a new line of nests with automatic hydration setups to make keeping levels of humidity and offering a gradient easy.  I will insert a few pictures of some of the items I carry here and answer any question you may have.  I have been building vivariums for insects for many years and recently launched this company in the middle of last year to sell publicly.  My website is www.anttopia.com  And you can find me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/anttopia/

Three of the nests released just last night are pictured here

I have been featured on gamergate a few times, however I am generally improving on stuff before they finish a review or post about it.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.

Kelly

I love Camponotus, very interesting ants to keep just because of the sizes of workers and the amazing colors they and the queens have.

Camponotus and formica are for sure my favorites. I would like to keep Selenopsis Invicta, but unfortunately they are not in my area due to it being such a cold climate.

Apparently we have them here in my area of michigan. Couple of co-workers swear they have some on or around their land, so i'll be checking those out this spring. We'll see though cuz to the untrained eye, red/orange ants are "fire ants".

There is no way there are fire ants down there, it is just too cold, they get hard to see if you leave FL or TX even haha. But if you do find them natively, that would be great haha.

They live in Mississippi as well. I got into them at a swimming pool! Horrible, they were nesting in the grout of the pool tiles and would bite if they got on you in the water.

I can remember the huge nests of them in my Grandfather's yard. I know they serve an important purpose in the cleaning up of our world, but they are so aggressive and painful, I am glad we do not have them up north.
