I am wondering how some of you got started in this? Did you wake up one day and just started to do it. And for someone that wants to start doing it, what advise would you give to them?

It was just something I got up and one day got interested in doing after a day in science class.

I took a liking to bugs since I was just a little kid. Ever since then I always had a bug setup in my drawer. As I got older I started to advance in the hobby and started keeping a wider range of bugs. For beginners, I would recommend starting with beginner species. Don't try to keep something difficult, or you run the chance of a higher death rate which discourages hobbyists.

I've always been fascinated by nature and would often explore the wooded areas around my old house. Bugs are cool! Very Happy
