Here are the photos of her in comparison to the dead male we found. Note that the male is turned black in color and is damaged somewhat. He used to have the same colorings as the female.




Note in the last photo that the last segment of the male differs from the female. Other noteworthy differences are size and width. However, if you only have one specimen, I would look at the last segments to sex the animal. Males have a "rounder" segment while the female has an "open" (the white part) segment where the eggs are deposited from.

It's really too bad, Sorry to hear it. The size comparison is pretty impressive though.
